The Historic Howell Theater will be hosting a special movie screening fundraiser on Oct 17 at 1:30 p.m. The movie to be shown is “She’s the Man”, and admission is $10 per person.

This event has been organized by Kathleen Isenegger in order to fund her Gold Award project, which she is in the process of completing. The Gold Award is the most prestigious award in Girl Scouts, and ultimately accumulates into an 80 hour community betterment project.

For her project, Isenegger will be orchestrating the painting of two female empowerment murals at Howell High School. This service project is in response to issues teenage girls are often subjected to, such as low self esteem and poor self image.

All are invited to attend this event. The funds raised at this event will be used to purchase the paint and other materials needed to create the murals.
