NHS helps to make the holiday season warmer with Home Sweet Home clothing drive
The winters in Michigan can be cold and brutal and many children have to suffer these harsh conditions without even a winter coat. Recently, from Nov. 9-23, NHS helped to put together a warm clothing drive in which things such as hats, coats, gloves, boots, etc. were collected for children in need within Livingston County.
The drive was hosted at Howell High School, the Freshman Campus, Three Fires Elementary School, Parker Middle School, and Hutchings Elementary School. According to Community Liaison Lizzy DiMeglio the drive was extremely successful and NHS was able to donate many warm items to the cause.
“This drive made me realize that there are a lot of kids, especially in the elementary schools, that care about our community and are helping to make our community better,” DiMeglio says.
