John Wick: Chapter Two was released on Feb. 10th- the highly anticipated sequel to John Wick, released Aug. 2014.

The original movie follows the story of a retired super-assassin, John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves) whose wife recently lost a battle with terminal illness. After her death, John receives a puppy from her in the mail, with a letter asking him to not forget how to love. The young puppy is then brutally murdered by a powerful thug, Losef Tarasov (played by Alfie Allen), who breaks into John’s house and steals his car, not knowing that he just awakened of one of the deadliest hitmen in the world.

John Wick is one of the best movies for those who love a good vengeance story. After earning amazing reviews in 2014, many people hoped to see John on the big screen once again. Thankfully, after three years, John is back, and fans can only hope that he is just as “Wick”-ed as before.

John Wick: Chapter Two has many famous and iconic actors in the film, including Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Keanu Reeves, starring as John Wick once again. The movie is already raking in outstanding reviews from many critics, including earning itself a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Overall, John Wick: Chapter 2 seems like it will be a “can’t miss” movie sequel for all (mature) fans of action and revenge- and hopefully (if it’s possible), will be even better than the first. If the review by Peter Debruge from Variety is any indication of the movie quality (“Two major improvements on the original: First, no animals were harmed in the making of the film. And secondly, the human body count is significantly higher.”), then I can’t wait to see John’s return. This movie is going to kill it.
