This October, Jackass’s signature TV character, an 86-year-old man, Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville), takes the most insane and unexpected road trip with his eight-year-old grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll) across America to get Billy to his father after his mother was placed in jail. Along the way, Irving introduces new people, places and situations that give the impressionable Billy a new perspective on “adult life”. Everything from male strippers to child beauty pageant contests, biker bar patrons and a lot of unsuspecting citizens, this movie will continue to surprise you.
The laughter that filled the theater when I saw this movie was unreal. There wasn’t a single person that wasn’t tearing up from laughing so hard. This movie can be a bit over the top, but it’s Knoxville playing this character; of course it’s going to be over the top. An hour and 32 minutes of nonstop laughing? I’ll take it.
