One reason as to why the Howell girls varsity basketball team won the district championship this past season was senior Tess Weatherly.
Weatherly has been a member of the varsity team all four of her high school years. She has played the sport since she was very young and has a true passion for it.
This year, Weatherly made first team All-County for Livingston County. She not only was chosen for the team, but she was also named top player of all the players who made the All-County team. Weatherly made third team All-State as well.
“I’m thankful for the awards and I definitely could not have accomplished this without my awesome team and coach,” says Weatherly.
Weatherly will continue playing basketball after high school at Northern Michigan University. She is planning to study education and occupational therapy.
“I’m excited to be able to continue my basketball career and take my game to the next level. It will be a fun experience playing college basketball,” says Weatherly.
