It’s that time of the year again. The race for Senior Survivor 2015 officially begins Wednesday, February 25th! Applications will be available in P-7 and the main office. All funds raised will go to Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan. Last year, they raised $27,039.20 for The Rainbow Connection. Check out the Howell High School Class of 2015 Facebook page for a video of last year’s Senior Survivor finale.
Senior Survivor is the annual competition of the senior class that is a week long during school. All competitors have to stay at school during the competition, unless they are disqualified. They participate in various events around the school, such as food challenges, races and obstacle courses. One of the biggest requirements to stay in the competition is to raise the most money each day.
“I’m really excited for it. The fact that we create what the challenges are for each night and it’s pretty much in our entire control is probably my favorite part. But the most rewarding part of the entire thing is that all of the money is going to the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan,” senior Ashley Quick-Drossart says.
