Militza Algredo-Huerta, News Editor
Militza Algredo-Huerta is a senior at Howell High School, and this is her second year in the newspaper class, where she returns as news editor. She joined the Main Four because some former teachers inspired her to take the course. She is highly driven and tries to pursue her passions to the fullest extent possible. Interested in community service, she is involved in the Interact Club, where she is the president, and the National Honor Society, where she is the communications secretary and the tutoring co-chair. As she is consistently on a quest for knowledge, she is also involved in Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica (SHH) and DECA, where she competes in the entrepreneurship team decision-making event and will run the Instagram page for that organization this school year. Consistently attempting to improve school morale, she was selected as one of the two Michigan Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies Center Six Representatives and is a member of both the student council and the superintendent’s student advisory council. Finally, seeking to invigorate change, she is on the Howell High School HOPE Squad as the secretary and the National HOPE Squad Council Co-President. When not doing something for school, you can catch her working at one of her two jobs at LESA and Columbia Sportswear, taking care of her younger siblings as the oldest of three, doing something at her church, or going out with friends. After high school, she hopes to be the first in her family to obtain higher education by being admitted to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor as a political science major.
“I think what is most beautiful about senior year is that I go through these ups and downs with people who know me so well. I look forward to seeing what this year brings!”
